a little about me...

Hi there!

I started experimenting with photography when I was 15. Many of my first shorts were developed through a series of self portraits (I felt there was too much pressure for excellence if I were to use a model), focusing much on the post-production. I didn't realise at the time, but this has helped me understand how to pose others as I have been on both sides of the camera.

As a teen, I was torn between painting and photography. I loved both (and still do). Learning about photoshop (that 'post-production' I brought up earlier) allowed me to merge the two together, bringing both materials to life. In some of my photography (usually my children's portraits), it may be noticeable that the scene is a watercolour painting.

I photographed my first wedding when I was 18, and then photographed my second not too long after, but felt it was too much at the time and dropped the wedding chase. 10 years later, I am ready to dive back in.

As my skills became more refined, I chose to specialise in children's photography.

I have been featured in magazines such as 'Enfants Terribles' (based in Amsterdam) and 'Hashtag Oz,' (Melbourne based) creating templates and monthly images to showcase a theme. I have also done commercial work for Cotton On Kids, Lellow Kids and South.Point Shopping Centre (Canberra).

Additionally, I am working as the graphic designer, editorial coordinator and photographer for Q Living Magazine; a magazine which focuses on community and lifestyle.

I think that may be enough 'about me.' Please head to my contact page and get in touch! I'd love to hear from you and see what creative we can get sorted together!

Kindest,

Annabelle xx
