Wherever your family feels comfortable and whatever vibes you're feeling - we can make the dream happen! Whether that may be home making oozy chocolate brownies together on the kitchen bench; or climbing trees at the local park; I'm all here for the adventure and making memories more than just a pose.
So what are the pros and cons of being at home or being on location?
Home: Kids are already in their comfy state. I become the guest that they invite into their worlds and they already are living the story. Home is also the place where you and your family spend the most time, making those walls and garden a memory you'll one day look back on (to be fair, these shoots are my favourite!).
Location: No need to clean and tidy the home, with the freedom to be able to curate a certain 'look' that you wish to have; whether that may be a dreamy flower garden or a fun day at the beach. These adventures can become exciting for children and you'll be able to remember the family fun you guys had. Please keep in mind that for areas outside Port Melbourne Region, a travel fee will be added to the invoice (this will be discussed beforehand though; there are no sneaky surprises!).
$495 for an hour (40 images)
My shoots start from an hour long - this way there is no need to be stressing over children becoming shy or other little bumps that may arise - its okay, we have time to settle; and your kids have time to feel comfortable in my presence. When there are stresses, it usually falls on momma; who is the one person who should be looking like an absolute divine angel in the photos (I mean, come on) - so an hour long shoot helps everyone.
It will take roughly 2 weeks after the photoshoot for your images to be edited and ready for viewing on your own password protected online gallery, where you will have the freedom to select your favourite 40 (no fomo here!). If you'd like MORE photos, you will have the freedom to do so: it's all in your hands!
the flow + vibes
Generally, I like to time my photoshoots during golden hour; where the sky is filled with a gorgeous golden light which trickles through the tree branches like pure glitter.
I tend to not pose my families but will rather plan activities and games for the children to be a part of, and allow the sweet tender moments to naturally occur.
I'm a big believer that we believe the moments photographed, and when we view these photos we are reminded of how we were in the moment - so lets go a step further and create photographs where we can say 'remember how much fun we had that day?' - not just a pretty photo.
what to wear
The number one question: 'What do we wear?!' To which I always respond with: 'Anything that is comfortable and please do not be afraid of some colour!'
Nothing will bring out the awkwardness in a child more than wearing uncomfortable clothing... on a photoshoot.. with someone they do not know. Help bring the calm and allow your kids to wear clothing that they can truly be themselves in and allows movement. Also, be aware that colour can bring LIFE into your photographs, and if it's something your little one typically wears on the daily; it can become a part of the memories being captured. Truly for those dreamy aesthetics however, I would propose being wary of dark colours (blacks and reds), flour colours, and large intrusive logos (they can become quite distracting!).

I'm all for making things a little less tedious and simpler (being a parent is busy as is!); so I have made it possible to book a photoshoot online. Please bear in mind that I do not update availailities when something is booked (it can be A LOT), and use this platform more as an indicator that you have interest and that you have a date (or ballpark) as to when you'd like a photoshoot; I'll then be in contact to make it all work!

Please keep in mind that there is a $50 deposit needed to secure your photoshoot booking as spots are limited. This deposit will be deducted from the photoshoot cost ($495).

Do you photograph extended families (having grandparents and aunts, cousins, etc join)?
Yes! All the more the better. The first family unit (parents/kids - you) will set the initial $495 charge. After that, each family unit will either be an additional $150 or $250 depending on what's desired (just photos all together or shoots independently as well)

Do you photograph events + parties?
I photograph children's parties + bridal related events

What if the weather is miserable?
On an overcast day, it's actually easier to photograph (no shade seeking!) but if its a rainy day, we will reschedule

Can we bring our dogs?
If the location allows dogs, please do so!
